updates...

So I am on week 3 of my English Writing II with only 2 weeks to go. I have felt "blah" about this class up until now. I am not sure if it is the excitement of the research paper or that I am reading a new book and I have been inspired to write. Eitherway I have only 2 weeks left and a 7-8 page research paper to write.

On to the book I recently picked up, The Time Traveler's Wife. Ok, 160 pages into it and I am really enjoying reading the book. It is a first person from Clare and from Henry's point of view. It is a bit confusing to keep up with the time but I am getting the hang of it.

Now an update on my projects. Well, there is nothing to report really. I have not worked on anything in over 2 weeks. Tonight I will work on my pinwheel quilt, 4 blocks need to be completed. Yeah!! Then I have a charm pack that will be coming in that I will be making a baby quilt out of.

So here is the final update for today: Ian has been doing great with going to bed with no bottle. It was easier than we thought it would be.

Oh, I almost forgot...we made a but purchase last night: an entertainment center and a 46" tv. We have a tv that works but it would look too small in the entertainment center that fits a 52" tv. I am excited about the purchase even though it was more than I wanted to spend. We are using our taxes to pay for it.

Sunday we decided "enough with the bottle to bed" and put Ian our 2 year old to bed minus the beloved bottle. That first night was tough with about 60 mins of constant crying behind his locked bedroom door. Monday, yesterday, it was down to 30 mins of crying and he woke up one time. Tonight, oh the sound of silence, well I had mostly silence from the little man as he was upset for 5 mins total then fell asleep. Needless to say we had to put lemon juice (pure) in the bottle to show him that it's nasty and time to throw it away. Todd deals with nap time, not a fun time, so I have no comments on that success.

Overall it was not too bad to wean him from the bottle. The most exciting part was tossing out the bottles and the brush. Now we won't have to invest in a dairy farm, guess I can use that money for some more fabric or something I need (bag or acrylic table for my machine). Here's to hoping.

Oh, on another note, my father-in-law is still in the hospital but is doing well.
